Coming from a career that balances both the airline and communications worlds, Boyd Bailey is an expert when it comes to blending clients’ goals with messaging campaigns that resonate with media and the public. Mr. Bailey’s unique ability to craft effective marketing and communications strategies and deliver them to key audiences has allowed him to successfully steer companies and clients to winning strategies, both in DC and beyond. Now, Mr. Bailey brings his expertise to The Moak Group, where he advises clients on strategic marketing initiatives, media relations, communications, branding, regulatory and legislative policy matters.

Prior to joining The Moak Group, Mr. Bailey spent six years based in Washington, DC, working for Qatar Airways,  where he managed the airline’s U.S. marketing and communications strategies.  During this time, he oversaw multi-million dollar advertising initiatives to support the launch of new passenger service from Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, and Philadelphia, as well as new-market launches beyond Doha that were relevant to the airline’s U.S. customer base. He grew market share and brand awareness for Qatar Airways through compelling marketing campaigns, public relations initiatives, and strategic partnerships with members of the oneworld Alliance.  Mr. Bailey cultivated key press relationships that maximized media opportunities for Qatar Airways across multiple local and national news outlets.

Before joining Qatar Airways in 2009 Mr. Bailey worked for three years with iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel Communications)and was responsible for creating marketing communications and advertising campaigns for local and national clients.  In 2004, he joined Home Front Communications where he booked and produced live interviews and satellite media tours for clients with local and national radio and television outlets.  He began his professional career in Topeka, Kansas, as a general assignment reporter at WIBW-TV.

Mr. Bailey holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Baylor University.
