Marketing and Design Associate

The Moak Group, a fast-growing public relations, advocacy, and marketing-communications firm is seeking a talented and experienced Marketing & Design Associate to join our team. We’re looking for a self-starting, passionate, hardworking individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and support our team and portfolio of international clients. Our team is looking for an Associate with the following set of sills and experience:

  • 3+ years of marketing and creative design experience
  • Agency experience is preferred, but not required
  • Expertise in various disciplines of marketing communications such as advertising, direct consumer marketing, and online advertising
  • A design sensibility with an eye for creativity and visual aesthetics with exceptional attention to detail and typography
  • Ability to articulate your design concepts and ideas to other team members
  • Experience designing and implementing a marketing and social media strategy
  • Experience in budget planning, control, and evaluation
  • Expert with original content creation, writing, and software experience
  • Demonstrated skills or training in graphic design and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop on Mac OSX.
  • Knowledge of Keynote and PowerPoint
  • Experience drafting press releases, statements, talking points and content for online mediums such as websites and social media sites, and disseminate these materials to appropriate audiences as assigned
  • Experience including but not limited to creation of ad concepts, message development, generating timelines for execution, production of copy (TV, radio, digital, print), buying ad time/space, assessing analytics/effectiveness
    • Development and execution of advertising campaigns across multiple mediums
  • Qualitative and quantities analytic tracking skills
  • Ability to establish workflows, deadline driven, flexible, with ability to multi-task in fast paced environment, shifting direction to accommodate urgent project requests
  • Superior communications/presentation skills, both internal and client-facing
  • Strong writing, relationship management, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to quickly pick up new skills and work as a team player

Digital Associate

The Moak Group, a fast-growing start-up public affairs, advocacy, and marketing firm is seeking a talented and experienced public affairs Digital Associate to join their team. We’re looking for a self-starting, passionate, hardworking individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and support our team. Our team is looking for an Associate with the following set of skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of digital/communications/public affairs experience;
  • Digital and web content design skills;
    • Update and edit websites, including posting new content and creating new pages
    • Technical skills (coding, front or back end design, analytical skills)
  • Expert social media plans, original content creation, writing, and software experience
  • Demonstrated skills or training in graphic design and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Crafting press releases, statements, talking points and content for online mediums such as websites and social media sites, & disseminate these materials to appropriate audiences as assigned
  • Experience including but not limited to creation of ad concepts, message development, generating timelines for execution, production of copy (TV, radio, digital, print)
  • Campaign experience, communications, or political agency work are a major plus
  • Qualitative and quantities analytic tracking skills
  • Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, meet necessary deadlines, and contribute in a positive and effective manner in campaign style scenarios
  • Superior communication/presentation skills, both internal and client-facing
  • Strong writing, relationship management, organizational and project management skills

We’re looking for a self-starting, passionate, hardworking individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and learn on the go.

Our team is looking for a full-time Digital Intern with the following set of skills and experience:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Graphic Design:
    • A passion for creating innovative designs for web and print campaigns
    • High skill level in using the Adobe Creative Suite for print and web design
  • Web Design
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems, especially WordPress
  • Social Media Acumen
    • Familiar with crafting and posting content
    • High comfort level with using social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, HootSuite, etc.)
  • Comfortable using Apple products/ MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Effective writing and editing capability
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in new web and digital technologies
  • Time management skills
  • Self-starter, able to solve problems on your own
  • Communicate efficiently in both written and verbal form

About the internship:

The Digital Internship will have both academic and experiential elements. The Moak Group is a fast-growing team entering its third year. As such, the intern will have the opportunity to engage with many of the clients and issues The Moak Group supports. This is a great learning opportunity for someone interested in the intersection of technology and the policy sphere.

This is a paid position. The Moak Group will also work with Interns to meet requirements for school credit, if the intern so chooses.
